This new blog will be updated with my newest ideas and thoughts on making food. I am a culinary arts graduate who aspires to be a chef, business owner, Registered Dietician, author of a cookbook, among many other things.
Most of us can’t go more than a few hours without nourishment of some sort. At school I look around me and see people eating hostess cakes and jelly beans for lunch and I have to wonder why. Why did they choose to eat a cake for lunch? Is there really no time for eating real food? Maybe they never learned or don’t care about nourishing their bodies, and hostess cakes just taste better. Maybe these are the same people who eat out so often you wonder if they know how to make food! Well maybe they don’t. But doesn’t everyone want to know how to feed themselves? Maybe if they have a good experience of successful cooking, they would enjoy it more.
Then there are people who are very good at making food and enjoy doing it. They know how to choose ingredients, and make their food taste good. They may not have any formal training in food production, but they manage with what they know. Maybe if they knew a few simple ways to cook more efficiently they would enjoy it even more!
I would love to have something to give to these, maybe hypothetical groups I just sketched. Perhaps I have nothing…who knows? Passion about food can be infectious! I am passionate about food, but I am also very practical when it comes to approach. One thing I know: we all get hungry several times every day. How can I help people learn how to make healthy food, efficiently and conveniently?
This blog is my attempt to accomplish that.

As someone who has given her eating habits a HUGE overhaul in the past couple years and aspires to maintain a healthy relationship with food–but still has a lot to learn about how to prepare it–I look forward to dropping in and reading your thoughts and suggestions! Blog on!
